Thing #8 January 18, 2007

I started working on Thing 8 yesterday and got totally confused as to what the heck RSS is all about. I signed up for bloglines and somehow subscribed to several feeds(beat me how id did it). My head started spinning and so I shut down for the day hoping tomorrow would be brighter. I came to work and begged for help from Jie and John to enlighten me on RSS. Well, the day got away from Jie, so I nabbed John and he helped to open the world of RSS up to me. I now understand how you get to and subscribe toRSS feeds. Thanks to John, Thing 8, is a thing of the past. YEAH!!!!

Thing #7 January, 16 2007

The thing I find recently most interesting is wireless technology. I know it is not a new technology, but it is new to our home. We were able to introduce high speed internet service to our home thru FM radio that is comparable to DSL speeds. We now have one wireless PC that I can move anywhere needed, a laptop that I can surf the web and sip a cool drink (not telling what kind) while lounging on my deck on a beautiful summer's day. Plus we bought our daughter a photo printer for Christmas which is wireless, too. Now we can print and surf to our little heart's desire anywhere or anytime.

Thing #6 January 16, 2007

I've completed Thing #6 without a hitch. I created a Trading Card of my son just for fun. We are supposed to be having fun, right? If I have time I will check into the other apps, but for now this is all I have time to explore.

Thing #5 January 15, 2007

Wow, this is really cool! I've heard the word Flickr thrown around for awhile but never knew what it was all about until I completed this lesson. This will be a great tool to organizing my photos and sharing photos with family and friends.

This is a picture that I downloaded from Flickr when I typed in the words "Funny Faces" in the search box. My search resulted in 31,610 hits and by the time I've finished typing this I'm sure the number will have increased.

This is a test post from flickr, a fancy photo sharing thing.

January 5, 2007

Today is Friday, it is rainy and dreary outside. It has been a very crazy hectic day with Horizon notices, Telecirc and branch reports to deal with. Whew, I'm glad it's almost over.
I haven't had a chance to work on Thing 5 but I'm hoping to allow some time next week for this project.
